Well looks like my 'keep blog updated' thought shit the bed..i'll try and work on this..

It's been a busy busy month:

Caught up with my boys in The Carrier at a couple of shows on their tour with Dead Swans, gutted I couldn't have gone and spent time with Dickie the roast beef destroyer!

Breaking Point played Royal Rumble with a shit load of great bands (look for a flyer and myspace links!) we got a ludicrously good reaction, easily the best show for us and shout outs to Pat and Fisher for filling in on short notice!

Saw Brand New/Glassjaw/Thrice (thanks Kenna for the hook up!) BN played a pretty much perfect set, couldn't believe how good they were (download the devil and god if you dont own it!!)

I seem to have spent a load this month, on shirts/records/shoes/crap...so here's some choice picks!

XXV

MMX starts today.

2009 was pretty decent

I went to America.
My band released a demo and seven inch.
Went on a bunch of tours with awesome bands/people.
Hungout with some great friends, new and old.
Kept my girlfriend (lunatic)
Started getting tattooed.
And a tonne more things!!

Lets see what 2010 has to offer for us then...

January - Dead Swans/Carrier Tour. The Hope Con. Glassjaw. Royal Rumble. 2x Consultations.
February - Playing with TRAPPED UNDER ICE/RISE AND FALL x3. Floorpunch!
March - CRUEL HAND/BREAKING POINT UK TOUR. Turning 25..haha

Thats just off the top of my head...hopefully smash in trips to America and Australia, another Breaking Point release and a tonne of hanging out with good people.

Might even pretend to keep this blog active too....!

Records of 2009!

I'm not going to go into a massive explanation of all these records, but here are my records of the year in no order..

TRAPPED UNDER ICE - SECRETS OF THE WORLD.
I said there was no order to this, i lie this is my far my favourite record of 2009, everything about this record does it for me. Breaking point are playing their 3 UK dates with Rise and Fall and I couldnt be any happier about this!

NEW FOUND GLORY - NOT WITHOUT A FIGHT
Can this band do any wrong!? (I realise Coming Home wasn't the best thing ever!) Back on top!

SET YOUR GOALS - THIS WILL BE THE DEATH OF US
I wasn't into the Mutiny record they did last, but loved the demos (I'm into hardcore what'd you expect from me...!?) But I got this record after seeing them in the Summer and I love it, loads of energy and some massive tracks!

RISE AND FALL - OUR CIRCLE IS VICIOUS
Another band that can do no wrong, Into Oblivion was always going to be hard to follow, and i'm 110% glad they didn't try and do IO pt2. OCIV is a definate grower of a record and a progression. Check it out and give it time.

LAST WITNESS - AN UNFINISHED LIFE.
Recorded in 2008 and chucked onto a shelf, eventually released for FREE in '09. Straight up UK mosh record, and I love it. Go see them at Royal Rumble, mosh and buy merch. This is being released on 12" at this show. BUY IT!

BLACKLISTED - NO-ONE DESERVES TO BE HERE MORE THAN ME.
As i said in my previous post, a definate grower, on first listen I wasn't bothered by it. I went back and now I'm really feeling it. A massive jump from previous efforts, as blacklisted seem to excel at doing! Heavier than heaven...was in my list last year also.

CONVERGE - AXE TO FALL.
It's converge, theres nothing more to say.

THE HOPE CON - TRUE NIHILIST
I just wish this record was longer, my only complaint! Seeing them again in January, definately won't be a let down!

DEAD SWANS - SLEEPWALKERS
I cant not have this in here, and its not biased! Solid record, and I had an awesome time going to practices/recording/tours with these boys. 2010 next boys!

PULLING TEETH - PARANOID DELUSIONS/PARADISE ILLUSIONS
Another band with a fantasic output, this is way more experimental than pervious efforts without leaving influences. I pre-ordered this through A389 and the packaging was next level, hologram artwork, massive poster and actual copy of CD included. Mint.

BRAND NEW - DAISY
Really like this record, not quite as good as their last record in my opinion but still solid!

POLAR BEAR CLUB - CHASING HAMBURG
Such a step up from their previous record, the songs are great live too, really looking forward to seeing them again in February with Title Fight and the reaction they will get now the records been out a while!

Other mentions...

COLD SNAP/CORNERED SPLIT
To be honest I've only bothered to listen to the CS side, and their jams are insanely hard. SRH on top!

Mother of Mercy - III
Really wasn't into this band when i first heard them, but following recommendations from DS coming back from the States I gave it another spin and i'm feeling it!

Bad Seed - -7" and Split
REAL RAIN POURS absolute banger from the split, and the 7" is great too!

Never Again - All
They've banged out about 3/4 releases this year so I'm not going to seperate them, however solid outputs and great live.

I'm sure I've missed out a record here or there...but it's a list on my blog...deal with it!

So once again I have become lazy on this...what a suprise.. so i'll just do a quick recap on December rather than banging out a load of seperate posts!

Played the 5th TDON birthday show, we were on second on the Saturday but can easily say it was the best show we've played, got a great reaction and solid turnout, full props to Faz for putting this on and it running so smoothly! We had some new shirts for this, consisting of dogs with sunglasses...
